Re: [ATM] Another machining question, please



HI Richard,

Silver & Demming drill bits are larger bits, usually over 1/2" that have
a 1/2" shank.  They are quite common here in the US and readily
available.  If you do a GOOGLE SEARCH for "Silver & Demming drill bit",
you will get about six pages of listings.  Since most drill presses found
in a small shop rarely have a chuck that will handle sizes larger than
1/2" there is a need for this type drill bit.
