[ATM] Top Three "wow" targets

Hi All,

I concur with those who think that the info you give someone can have a big effect on their repsonse to what they see.

My top three deep sky "wow" objects would probably be:
 
1.Eta Carinae (the nebula at low power and the Homonculus at high power)

2.Either 47 Tuc or Omega Centauri (telling a viewer that they contain over a million stars adds to the awesome view)

3. The Tarantula Nebula  in the Large Magellanic Cloud (the knowledge that they are looking at a glowing gas cloud in another galaxy 160,000 light years away should blow their mind or at least make them mildly agoraphobic)

Sorry, did I mention that all of these were in the Southern Hemisphere? (heh, heh, heh.....)
