Re: [ATM] Snap, crackle, pop, this is the pits

Thank you for the info Tom. BTW, I've not been able to feel any grains big
enough to see with my eyes from your supply and the popping isn't as loud or
as many or the pits as numerous or as large. It is an improvement over my
previous supply.

The grains I was finding in my previous supply were tan colored like amber
and were long rather than round like little cylinders. I don't think they
were AO.

The chunk that I came upon in my previous supply in the 220 SiC was clear.
I don't think it was SiC either.

To concentrate on the big picture, I'll be interested to look through my
lenses from the other supplier for the first time to see how homogenous they
are. I've been told that bad BK7 isn't that common any more so I'm hoping
its ok.

The WAO you got from me is also platelet shaped, I can send you a datasheet
if you like.

Best thing to do for your water is to take a BIG jug (55 gal drum?)
and let it sit for a long time, all the big stuff will settle to the
bottom and then take some off the top.

I think you can also used distilled water.
