Re: [ATM] device controllers
Why go to the trouble of a PIC and a program? A 555 timer and potentiometer are within the design parameters of the device you are wanting and can easily drive the same Triac's (or relay)...

I love these controllers but they are TOO MUCH. I don't need a USB connected computer programmable... and so on. What I need is a simple lapse timer that can be set to turn an AC line on and off at intervals, say so many seconds every so many minutes. This thing can be build with a $3.00 pic (16f84 for example) and a couple of triacs (about $1.50 each). If you want to get fancy, a push button switch and a 7-segment LED can be used to program the timer and feedback the settings, or something like that.It can be powered from the same AC line it controlls.
Is such simple gadget available?

Julio
