Another way to get dial-in interferometric precision at an ATM price is to
use an inexpensive and commonly available micrometer head with 40tpi screw
threads coupled with a bowed flexure. A bowed flexure with an amplification
of 5 would give the equivalent of 200 tpi ultra-precision screw threads.
