[ATM] Spherometer ruby tips, Invar, and Laser displacement sensors.

Got to http://www.travers.com and go to page 751
You'll find a great selection of Ruby Ball Tips from $18 to $21.

Now if you want to go over the top see;
http://world.keyence.com/products/products.html
Look at the Laser Displacement Sensor's
Of course you could forget the laser part and stick a high quality ruby tip
micrometer in the middle.

Then stop by;
http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=12522&step=4&showunits=inches
Grab yourself some Invar 36; then go to town!

Personally I have 2 of the LC-2430's I picked up on eBay for $1500 however;
they're not on a spherometer... yet :)
I'm trying to see if I can make a poor mans version of a LODTM;
http://www-eng.llnl.gov/lodtm/ though I don't have any illusions of reaching 10
nm resolution they do.
