[ATM] center of revolution - Hand/M-o-M transition

Friend has a hand ground 12.5” mirror ready for
polishing, and asked if I could polish it on my M-o-M.
 

Question:
Is there a way to center the mirror so as to avoid
astigmatism? That is, will the polishing action be
sufficient to establish a new M-o-M center of
revolution or will I need to grind and if so what
grade of grit?
