By the Ronchi I had estimated the correction center to edge would correspond
to Foucault knife movement of .075 inch with a fixed source tester. That is
about 10 percent of the desired .579 inch.

By the simulated Ronchi's I estimate the knife movement would be about .060
inch. That is not quite 8 precent.

 Theoretically, a lot of the mirror aberratons should be discernable in
the Ronchi sequence--even the primary astigmatism shows up pretty well
as a leaning of the lines through focus.  I'm curious whether anyone
can read the amount of spherical aberration from these images.  For
comparison, here's a simulation of a perfect mirror:
