In additoin, only providing two adjustments for the mirror cell will keep
the mirror at the correct distance from the secondary.  When you have 3
adjustments, it is very easy to piston the mirror a bit over time as you use
all three of the adjustments in collimating the telescope, using two
different screws at a time.  If you use all three, the possibility of piston
movement becomes even more probable.
