[ATM] glass and lurie-houghton

I agree with Bob, 6" is about as small as I would consider and I'll add 10" (250mm) is about as large. You may be able to save some money by ordering the glass "plano/plano fine ground." You'll be working all 4 surfaces so no reason to pay for a polish you intend to grind away. Build a jig to measure wedge and your all set.

BTW; It would not be hard to build a 12" or 14" just expensive and other designs (Hyperbolic) make more sense IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I like the Houghton a lot at 8" to 10," but think that's the sweet spot. Has to be the easiest "flat field" designs to build by hand... and very forgiving.

For best performance the lenses need to be AR coated, but I still haven't sent mine out.
