I'd consider that a 4" Lurie-Houghton to be a rather small scope for size.
A 6" one (the smallest I'd even consider any scope to be made) would need
two pieces of glass probably about 10mm thick.  Jena Glass is there in
Germany and they should be able to supply the glass for you.  You do want to
spend the money for the Grade A precision annealed glass as you are going to
be looking through it.
Here in the states, United Lens, Newport and others are places to find
optical glass.  With Newport, you really want to talk over the telephone to
a live person as they often don't understand what e-mails are.
