Re: [ATM] Determine the glass type of a primary mirror



One easy way to get an idea is to look at the
**color** of the edge of the mirror and then to
compare it to the color of the edge of a piece of
plate glass and the color of the edge of a piece of
pyrex, or any other glass you might have availalbe as
a reference. Plate glass tends to be much darker green
than the others, not quite as dark as a wine bottle,
but sort of in that direction. Pyrex tends to be more
yellowish-white. Water-White glass is really white.
