You want the three bar approach, even though it is more work.  Run out 
and buy the March issue of Sky and Telescope (on news stands now), or 
get it at your public library, to see my article that walks you through 
the design of a six point cell using Plop.  There is also a good picture 
of an especially clean six point cell by Albert Highe.
