One thing that I've not found the answer to on the Bath Interfrometer is
where the focus point for the lens needs to be.  The pages that I've seen
tend not to state where this should be.
Should the focus of the lens be at the interface of the splitter, closer to
the laser or further from it in the light path assuming that the light comes
from the laser, to the beamsplitter and then to the lens.
