Geeezus CHRIST, you guys are a scientific lot!! LMAO!!!
I just tell the sunsabitches that if it's mere case of short- or
long-sightedness, they can probably do well without the glasses as long as they can thumb
a focuser knob. But astigmatism, or whatever else ails their eyeballs, is
likely to render the glasses a necessity. After that, they're on their own. Well,
so I say... *of course* I'll endeavor to help the interested parties to
whatever extent I am able.
But... as I said before, I have learned not to waste a lot of time on those
who are not, and never will be, interested, or impressed, no matter what I (we)
do.
But... maybe this thread has morphed into a discussion of what part the human
eyeball, with all its possible vagaries, may have to do with the image our
instruments and eyepieces are fashioned to present us with? In that case, I'll
just step aside, if y'all don't mind, and try not to get hurt in the stampede
of information.
But... If we're still talking about simply hosting a telescope at a public
star party... Well, I've said my piece, so never mind. Just don't think I'm
complaining about anything. Rather, I'm loving every second of this! You guys
knock me out!!
