Another idea of binocular building is printed in the January 2005 Sky and
Telescope. 
The builder did win the latest innovative design contest with his remarkable
construction of a 12 inch Bino.
No tertiaries are needed in that design and the total construction is
reduced in size. Also there is no need for watching in front of the scope
but at  the side (like a usual Newton).
