No, I'm not Lord Robert May nor Sir Robert May, I'm not the guy that
provided motion to Robbie the Robot, I'm not a golfer nor am I a trucker
with my own trucks.  Nor am I a kayak builder!  Then there's the guy in
Conn. that is also on the web who isn't me.  Also, there is a professor of
Philosopy as well as another professor that isn't me.  Also, I don't have a
school named after me.
Also, I have met Billy May the orchestra leader at a convention once and
introduced him to my mother who commented that this wasn't her son William.
There is also a producer of films named Robert May.
Never did get to meet Willy Mays but then again, that is another branch on
the tree of life.
All of these other Robert May named people have popped up from just putting
my name into Google and seeing what pops out.  One of the interesting ones
that pops up is that it was Robert May that wrote "Rudolph the Red Nosed
Reindeer" - go look it up!  The guy is totally unrelated to me AFIK.
Me, I'm just an Electronics Tech that does a decent job of things.
