This is a relatively easy 'testable' condition.  Personally, I'm not 
inclined to
do it since I don't get out very often and am not further inclined to 
spend what
time I  do get out with the scope testing something that doesn't seem 
to matter.
   Fan pulling air down a closed tube seems to work nicely for me.  After a few
hours I cannot tell the difference with the fan on or off in the image.
