Re: [ATM] Kendrick Controller?
An open loop PWM (pulse width modulation) controller could be simply,
inexpensively, and easily built using a 555 IC with FET switch. Switching
circuits can generate high frequency noise, which could interfere with
sensitive CCDs because of fast rise time switching edges. It would be wise
to slow the edges (and decrease efficiency) or filter and shield the
circuit. For open loop low wattage applications, perhaps the simple linear
regulator circuit such as the potentiometer has advantages.
