I had a access to a Coronado 40 several months so I became familiar with it.
I've also observed through the front end filter of the 40 mounted on a
Televue refractor and I thought the views were somewhat better (scale,
sharpness, contrast). I attributed the improvement to the better scope.

I do not see any reason why this would not work but I would not expect much
improvement in the image quality. The whole Coronado 40 is only a couple of
pounds so the filter would be quite light.
