To be more specific, good contact is required for predictable
progress.  Soft pitch makes this easier to achieve.

That's the way to go - not a good time to break in a new lap!

I think you have.  Congratulations!

If you really want to be sure, put the mirror away for a week and then
come back and do a set of critical tests.  If your results agree,
you're done.
