[ATM] Theories on what causes TDE
Excellent Discussion!
Would someone please document how to minimize the effect or prevent it.
Think Process Control. What is the best process to yield a really good
sphere from fine grinding to finish polishing?? I'd like to understand the
variables which of them cause TDE and what controls can be done to get to a
sphere as quickly as possible.
It would be a great to have this documented.
Thanks,

TDE IS NOT A PROBLEM... It is part of the process of
making a telescope mirror.
