[ATM] Figuring an 8" F6. Please help

Basically, you have an oblate spheroid of some size.
Start by doing strokes like you did when you were doing the hogging out of
the mirror (assuming that you have a glass tool) or a big wide W stroke and
make sure that you tend to keep an even force down on the mirror. This
should immediately start digging the center out of the surface.  Don't go
too long as you may wildly overshoot and then you've got a lot of material
to remove to get the curve out to the edge.
