I certainly didn't help things regarding your understanding with the
initial post I made. My concern was for the edge support options for
whiffle tree cells (other than, as opposed to, and as options to the old
sling), but I confused "edge support" with "whiffle tree". I now believe
the term whiffle tree is more related to the multi-layerd / multi point
systems of mirror support built atop three adjusting points, and that it
is not particularly concerned with the edge support method employed. Your
trinagle/bar assumption is correct for whiffle trees. A few readers saw
through my confusion and offered edge support ideas. More edge support
ideas are welcome!!!
