One thing to consider when doing the secondary supported is that when you
balance the weight inside to outside of the plate, the plate won't bend in a
rotational mode but rather just flex in a bit. This won't cause any
problems as the flexing will be slight and the sum will be the effect of
putting a very mild Mak corrector in there also. As a result, you may see a
theoretical change in the correction but in reality, I'd suspect that value
would be in the 100ths of a wave change.
