Hello Peter,
do you distribute the grit before placing the mirror on the tool? If
not, a mound of grit placed in the middle of the tool may remove the
sharpie lines faster in the middle than at the edges. Distribute the
grit evenly across the tool and you should approach the sphere quickly.
