Hello Jon.
Texereau recommends 4 zones for an 8 inch f6 mirror.
I think is close to your f5.
In theory, a shorter mirror would produce more contrast images than a longer
one.
My 8 inch mirror was f 5.8, and I use 4 zones, the readings was fairly easy,
and I'm happy with the results, so I think that you can't go wrong with 4
zones.
Good luck with your mirror !
Alejandro

Hi,
I am figuring an 8" f5 mirror. Can someone recommend the number of zones to
measure? ...
