If you want a really big one, find an old phonograph turntable!!  I have
one from an old Dual unit that weighs about 3 pounds.  I believe that it
was made from turned aluminum.  When it was still a working turntable 20
years ago, I checked it with a dial indicator, both on the surface and
on the rim, and the needle hardly quivered

I'm a pack rat....I saved the platter because I figured I'd find a
project for it someday.  Thanks to Dave, I now have a use for it!!!
