What about greasing the back and sides of the mirror.
use small pads of silicone for the support points, leaving the usual 3mm or 
so gap, use a ring metal/plastic/ply?? around the mirror held to the 
back/colimation plate, squirt silicon through holes in this ring so it 
touches the mirror.
The silicon will set against the ring and point supports but the grease 
will not allow it to stick to the mirror therefor allowing movement. 
Different viscosity greases to change the stiction parameters. The ring 
will prevent the mirror from falling out when pointing at the horizon.
