[ATM] Re: Mirror cells - some professional literature and ideas

   Hi Tom,
Another excellent reference on the subject is:
Paul R. Yoder, Jr. Opto-Mechanical Sytem Design.
ISBN 0-8247-8754-4 Published by Marcel, Inc. New York.
It is perhaps the 'Bible' on the subject.
I particularly like the elegance of the bipod flexure design he discusses.
It is able to mount an optic from the rear surface, rigidly define it's
position axially & radially while providing degrees of freedom to compensate
for thermal effects, and by virtue of it's geometry, it acts through
the optic's centre of gravity, so is a valid solution for non-vertical
orientations.
Anyway, asside from that, the book is well worth having on your shelf.
Regards,
     ~C
