[ATM] re: mirror support

I haven't seen anyone suggest the use of aircraft honeycomb (Nomex) as a
back for large thin mirrors, it's dimensionally stable and very easy to
work. Just a thought, but a mirror of 16 inch diameter epoxied to a 1/2 inch
thickness of honeycomb and then expoxied to a mild steel or titanium back. I
mention Titanium because of its' low thermal expansion but it needs cobalt
tool steel cutters. I have never tried it but since it is flammable like
steel it might be cut round with a plasma cutter (outdoors, because of the
titanium oxide produced)
