[ATM] Re: Second Thoughts on Mirror Support



Ken Hunter's point is that we have made scopes for decades before computers gave
us the ability to nit pic.  This kind of thing scares off would be first
timers.  Do we sometimes push envelopes that don't need to be pushed?

For the standard mirrors, most of us will continue to build 'overkill'
floatation because it isn't that hard to do!  For my 12 inch, I put down 'lots'
of RTV pads and didn't think twice about it.  I KNEW it would work and didn't
take much effort.  No analysis.  Just did it.  How did I know it would work? 
Lots of other folks had done it before me..... ;-)
