[ATM] Mirror Regrind.

Hello all.

Some of you may recall my post on the 12in F3.3 (paraboloidal)
Mirror that I acquired (ex-military). I tried a 3in flat with it and do not
like seagulls. The mirror isn't perforated and I don't want to go down the
coude
or nasmyth roads! So i'm going to regrind.(F8 plantary scope would be nice)

Here's the dilema: Do I

1/  Regrind the F3.3 face

or

2/ Flip it over and grind the flat rear face?

If I choose 1/ should I use a plaster tool?

If I choose 2 (using a plate glass tool), how am I to support the mirror in
the smoothing and parabolisation stage
when I go TOT - remembering that there is a BIG (F3.3) sagitta (6mm)so the
back will not be well supported. The glass is actually 2in thick.

Any advice on how i should progress would be very appreciated.
