[ATM] RE: Orion Mirrors and Quality

Howdy

I have a 6" Orion skyview and am quite happy with it.
After looking at some 6" and 8" scopes I think the
mirror in mine is about on par with some of the more
expensive scopes in the market. I've been seriously
considering building a 10" reflector using an orion
mirror. 10" being a magnitude difference between what
I have now.

purported to have some high quality premium mirrors. I
have no direct experience with their products. 

A friend of mine gave some good advice when mirror
shopping... "take your favorite eyepiece to a star
party and view thru as many different scopes as you
can. Then decide which was the best image for you"
