Hi, Ken.

Ya, they do seem to have been coated.  So, I couldn't imagine that the 
stuff was actually CeO.  But the color and texture was the same.  It was 
weird.  And I didn't see any residue in the cell at the front of the 
OTA.  I dunna know...
