I found nothing hair brained about it. In fact, there has been a number of 
very successful experimental mirror grinding applications developed very 
similar to Mr. Smyser's idea. There is a couple published in Int J. Japan 
Soc Pre Eng. that produced some fine mirrors that are in use down in oz 
land. If Mr. Smyser is indeed ignorant of such published works, it whould 
demostrate creativity at its best.
