Hey Chuck,

What you do, when you get Richard to mold your next few blanks, is to have him
embed a bunch of wires in the back. You know how the thermocouple works, with
circuits of dissimilar wire. (You might have a problem, though, with the high
melting point of glass.)  When you assemble the scope you just connect up all
the wires to a battery and cool the glass from the inside. Simple.    8^)
