ATM 384 pilot holes

Ten days into the fabrication of an optical table I'm now, a few percent
complete.  I've cut the primary internal structure, even mocked it up.
Reevaluated and redesigned the secondary internal structure.  I got what I
think is a brilliant idea to make its construction easier and the result
stiffer, but I'll be doing some experimentation first.  And of course, I've
drilled 384 pilot holes.   In theory, the brown shirts (no, not people from
the office of homeland security, UPS) will be bringing my weld nuts next
week.  Guess I better get to widening those pilot holes.

Incidentally, 3 feet by 8 feet is bigger than it looks, even when you're
looking at it.
