This should work, but only if you have enough power to cool the mirror
to well below ambient, and you still run into problems with it equalising
in temperature as the heat flows slowly through the glass.
You might be able to cut cool-down time by a factor of 2 or so over
fan-cooling, at considerable expense, complexity, and electricity use.
