Ralph;

1) take your glass, heat it up really hot in an oven, say 350-400
degrees, then drop it in a bucket of cold water, the following would
happen

2) Doesn't immediately  shatter- Fused Quartz

3) Does shatter, then Pyrex(if lite greenish yellow colour or maybe Bk-7
if its white-ish clear

4)  8+) Don't take me seriously

Sort of the the "we had to destroy the village to save it mentality "
