You may find it helpful to validate your HTML with:

http://validator.w3.org/

I have found lots of problems on my pages I validated with this, and
have been able to fix them because of the suggestions.  This prevents
the pages from being unable to render correctly in some browser
versions.

I wrote an article about using validators that goes into some detail as
