ATM 13" scope with two collapsable trusses
I finally have pictures of my newest scope. It uses
only two trusses and the Alt bearings are attached
to them instead of the mirror box. The Alt bearings
themselves are aluminum rings and the bottom
bearings are roller bearings. I have not taken the time
to put up a page like usual, since, for me, it takes
almost as much time as building the scope in the first
place. *S* but I have pictures for anyone interested.
Just let me know.
Oh, and I also have pictures of the new Equitorial
Platform it sits on. I'm using Nils' stepper controller
design that runs the stepper at 1 RPM for an hour
and automatically rewinds at 30 RPM to start over.
Because the platform rides on a JB Weld gear
and a piece of all-thread no gearing is necessary....
direct drive.
