Re: ATM Good Old Days
Hey guys,
He's right. The good old days started around 1927 when
our tiny town library got a copy of ATM #1 by Albert Ingalls just to quiet
me down ( 10 yrs. old ). I started cutting discs out of scrap glass right
away. Two yrs. later I had my first 4 1/4" scope. Some TDE because I
couldn't find anything to polish it on except road tar.
By figuring it in a cold cellar in the winter (ca.45 degrees F.) the tar was
stiff enough that the TDE was more ignorance than soft road tar. So there-
that's what you get for starting one of us geezers telling about TGOD.
With any luck this will end this thread.
