I used the ATM 3 article to set up & do caustic tests in
my lab at NASA, getting .0001" accuracy was not a problem..:)
However, there appears to be an error in Schroeder's data
analysis, where he discusses how to offset data to get
the 'best fit' to the numbers. The error is that he
allows rotation of the data axes as well as translation
in the data fitting..rotation does *not* work & leads to
errors in interpreting the actual slope errors.
