Sounds like you got the problem covered. No need to heat up the innards.
The motherboard, ram and cards do not need the same attention you are
giving the hard drive. The problem is only the motor in the cold temps.
Had this same problem with some installations that refused to keep the
heat on in the store overnight. Next morning when they tried to turn on
their POS system, they would get a hard drive failure message. BTW, what
did you expect with the 15 degree temp we had last night. I was out at
my In-Laws last night with a TV-85 and tripod looking at the planets and
asked you wanted to come outside and take a look. I don't have to tell
you the stares I got as an answer.
