I have a 10" with a 3 vane spider made out of hacksaw
blades which works fine. It depends a bit how heavy
your secondary and holder are and whether it is
exposed to the wind. Mine is lightweight and
protected from the wind.
Has anyone on the list tried a three vane spider on a
scope of my size (12.5")? I've seen three-vane
spiders only on smaller scopes so far. Are there
mechanical problems with the three-vane support? Am
I
verlooking obvious problems?
Just wondering...
