ATM Donations to Iran

Hello all,

Thanks to all who responded to the original posts by
myself and others asking for ATM donations to Iran.  I
firmly believe that this is going to be a great
service to the Iranian ATM community.

  I've compiled a list of the materials mentioned to
me by various list members, pardon me if I missed
any... 




"a complete kit for grinding a 6"  mirror (glass and
abrasives), and books... also a 3" mirror"

"a book or two from online book stores and have the
book(s) send to you."

"will have some stuff to send in a couple of weeks so
if you can hold off that would be good."

"a three book set of Burnham's Star Atlas."




If we could find a diagonal, focuser, and an eyepiece,
we'd be sending the makings of a complete telecope.  I
can spare any one of these items, but not all at once;
can anybody help?  

I've got one or two old CD-ROMs sitting around, I'll
send them.  Also some books and a copy-scope lens.

If anyone has a copy of Sam Brown's book, its well
enough illustrated to be of use to non-english
speaking ATM's.

Old magazines and books will also help...

I apologise for my delay in sending this note, I meant
only to wait long enough for digest subscibers to get
word of the project.  "Real Life" sometimes gets in
the way of ATM activity (I'm going to be a father!!!)

So, those of you with a mind to make donations, send
them now.  I'll post the group in a week or so with an
itemised list of what I've recieved, as well as
contacting individuals privately.  Once I have all of
the donations in-hand, I'll send it out.

I've been assured that shippments to Iran lately are
not realy risky.  The amount of stuff going out from
our group will probably ship in one box.

If you include a few bucks with your donation, It will
help with shipping.  If I come up short, I'll cover
the difference.  If I recieve too much, I'll give the
extra to Mel to cover expenses for our server and his
upkeep of the list.
