Jean-Denis,

There is a chance that this crack could eventually start to expand into the
mirror.  Probably that would take a long time, but an alternative to
ignoring it is to CAREFULLY bevel it out with a fine whetstone.  I have had
this same sort of thing happen in the past.  The bevelling is a painful
affair, but it does remove the danger of the crack's growing.
