ATM newt. focuser baffel

     From Mel's website on newt. focuser baffeling, it appears that the 
baffel opening  is the same  dia. as the focuser dia. ( 2" ) ?  Is that 
correct?  I had thought that the baffel opening would need to be about 
the same size as the dia. of the cone of light just in front of the 
focuser. In my case about 3/4" I guess this question is for Mel, but
