Just get a simple, second hand SLR that is able to use a cable release
(needed for long exposures). That's all you need, nothing more.

I just took a trip to some second hand camera stores and found one .. cost
me AU$150 which is not much at all for a camera, and it works perfectly,
has a good quality lense for shots with it mounted on the telescope, and a
cable release. (Pentax "SP 1000" incase you're interested on actual
make/model).
